People Promoting Animal Welfare - Greenback Pet Shelter

People Promoting Animal Welfare

Located in Greenback, TN within Loudon County, the mission of our organization is to make spays and neuters affordable to everyone. PPAW is a 501c(3) non-profit organization with the purpose of operating a low-cost spay/neuter clinic for dogs and cats. Our clients primarily reside in 3 counties of East Tennessee (Blount, Loudon and Monroe), but we have helped animals all over the Southeast. The PPAW Spay/Neuter Clinic was started in late 1998, and we have sterilized over 100,000 companion animals to date. Our mission is to reduce the number of unwanted dogs, cats, kittens, and puppies and thus help end the euthanasia of adoptable pets. In addition to our primary mission of offering affordable spays and neuters to the public, we also work with rescues and shelters to offer life saving and quality of life services to help pets go healthy into new homes. And thanks to the support of generous contributors, we are able to offer services to pets in our community beyond spay/neuter who would not otherwise receive the care they need.
