The Ark of Hope Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit organization that rescues animals that have been abused, abandoned, and neglected. Once at "The Ark"' the animals get the medical treatments that they need, they are provided with nutritious food, bathed, a warm room and a comfortable bed. They are cared for until they are ready to be placed up for adoption. When healthy enough, the animal will be spayed / neutered and vaccinated.
Once you have found the pet of "your dreams," you will need to fill out one of our adoption applications. No animal will go to its new home that initial day. We don't want you to make a whim decision, we want you to go home and talk with the whole family about how much time will be needed to have a new pet, how much money will be needed as well as understanding this is a lifetime commitment! This placement must be right for you and the pet! In the next day or two someone from the "Ark" will call you (or you can call the Ark) to find out if you are still considering adopting. When you and your family are sure that you can make a lifetime commitment to the animal - and your references come back good - someone from the Ark of Hope will bring the pet to your home. If the home visit goes well and you and the pet are happy with the placement, then the adoption commitment papers can be signed!
