Charm City Animal Rescue is a 501c3 organization headquartered in Cumberland, MD. We have an ever-growing network of foster homes based in and around Baltimore, MD that enable us to save and adopt out almost 300 cats per year! We do not get government funding, but rely solely on donations, fundraisers, and grants to support our efforts. CCAR rescues animals from shelters and the streets, and we focus on cats in crisis, especially those cats with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (wobbly cats.) We also provide help with trap, neuter, release (TNR) projects, and assisting owners with getting low cost spay and neuter appointments.
For safety reasons, we require an application for every pet, and if adopted, a signed contract and adoption fee. We do NOT ship animals, but would be happy to help coordinate safe, reasonable transportation for the right home. Our adoption application is standard for most organizations. Once you apply, you will hear from our Adoption Coordinator within a week. Please make sure any references you list have working phone numbers!
