Sweet Dream House Rescue is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing all breeds of dogs and cats from high-kill shelters. Our focus is on saving the lives of those who are most likely to not be saved without our help. We concentrate on the transient creatures who have been overlooked by adopters and other rescues, becoming the rescue of 'last resort' for those animals. Before any of our rescued dogs and cats are adopted, we provide any necessary medical care and age-appropriate vaccinations to ensure they are healthy. And, they are spayed/neutered and microchipped. We utilize a network of foster homes for pets ready for adoption. Building on a strong foundation of like-minded volunteers in the rescue community, we have built a network of shelters and other rescues in neighboring states who share the same 'no animal left behind' philosophy to ensure that we save as many lives as we can. Since starting the rescue in 2011, we have saved the lives of over 6,000 dogs and cats!
There is little doubt that adopting saves lives! You save a life when you open your heart and your home when you adopt one of our animals. By choosing to adopt, you give us the opportunity to save the life of another animal that might not otherwise have made it out of a high-kill shelter. Each pet you adopt from us will always be spayed/neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on shots and disease tested. The Foster-to-Adopt Program is designed to allow families to keep one of our fully-vetted, ready-to-be-adopted rescue pets in your home for a one week trial basis to be sure it is a right match for your family. Did you find the perfect match? Great! You will need to do the following in person at one of our adoption events: complete the necessary paperwork, also, pay the adoption fee in full and you will receive all health records that we have available to us. Enjoy your new furry family member!
