Reach Out Rescue, Nfp - Oak Lawn Pet Shelter

Reach Out Rescue, NFP was founded by Tracy and David Perrin in March of 2005. Since then, we have successfully found homes for over 700 cats and dogs. We are a 501(c)3 organization, which means all donations are tax deductible. Reach Out Rescue, NFP pulls dogs and cats from high kill shelters across the U.S., focusing mainly in the Southern States because they are still using gas as a form of euthanasia. In the United States, every six seconds an animal loses his/her life by euthanasia due to over crowding in shelters. We do take in owner surrenders in extreme cases only. We do our best to socialize our rescue animals with children, dogs, and cats. If an animal is dog or cat aggressive, or does not get along with children, it will be stated on their pet profile. All of our rescued pets are spayed/neutered, given age appropriate vaccines, treated for internal/external parasites, and microchipped prior to adoption. Dogs are tested for Heartworms and cats are tested for FELV/FIV at the age of 6 months. All adoptions must remain in the State of Illinois and within a 50 mile radius in order for us to preform follow up visits. We also offer assistance in low-cost spay/neuter, vaccines, and microchipping. If you are in need of assistance in vetting your pet, please contact us. We will do our best to help you and your pet. Our goal at Reach Out Rescue, NFP is to help stop the cruelty and senseless euthanasia of dogs and cats. We hope to develop an Animal Sanctuary, Low-Cost Vet Clinic, and a Grooming and Obedience Training Facility in the near future. With your help, together, we can make our goal become a reality.
