Paws Illinois Nfp - Bridgeview Pet Shelter

Paws Illinois Nfp

OUR MISSION: To build our hands-on rescue, nurture, and adoption efforts to save the lives of as many companion animals as possible - one at a time - and promote education to increase shelter adoptions, reduce animal cruelty, and advance the highest standards in animal welfare. Paws Illinois, NFP is a non-profit, no-kill, all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. We are dedicated to rescuing animals left homeless for whatever reason - animals in public shelters where they are at high risk of euthanasia due to pet overpopulation, dogs given up by their owners because of difficult circumstances, and those in danger of abuse or neglect. We place animals in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a animals into their homes and lives. Animals in our care are spayed or neutered, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist animals in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. To the extent our finances allow animals in the greatest need take priority. Every dollar taken in goes directly to the care of the animals. Paws Illinois is operated by 100 percent volunteers, no salaries! Our group remains interested in and committed to the welfare of the animals beyond the adoption process. Finally, we strive to work with area shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless pets. Paws Illinois is a 501(c)(3) (not for profit) no-kill dog rescue group, with years of animal and rescue experience. Paws Illinois is committed to helping the most needy, as well as the readily adoptable, among our community's most vulnerable creatures. We are a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to restoring the animals under our care to physical and emotional health as they await placement in loving, responsible homes. All donated funds will be spent directly on the care of the animals. Paws Illinois stands ready to help you, the prospective adopter or foster home, find a companion who will thrive in your home. We are here to assist you in every way possible throughout the adoption process and will continue to be a helpful resource after you have welcomed your new pets into your life.
