Peace For Pits, Inc - Villa Park Pet Shelter

Peace For Pits, Inc

Peace for Pits™ is a Chicago area based rescue that focuses on finding loving, caring homes for “bully” breeds in need of help. Many of these dogs come from “high kill” facilities across Illinois, arriving there as a stray or unfathomably being surrendered by their so called “owners.” Some of these dogs arrive with severe injuries and other health problems due to neglect and or trauma. Our mission is to save as many of these dogs from euthanasia as possible. We are a 100% volunteer run organization, with every dog living in a wonderful foster home from the day it becomes a part of our rescue until the day they get adopted into an amazing forever home. All of our dogs get neutered or spayed, are given all state mandated vaccinations, are microchipped, and if needed, receive other major veterinary care such as surgery or treatments for diseases and infections. When a dog becomes a member of Peace for Pits, it becomes a member for life. We are here for continued support for each adopted dog. We stay in frequent contact with each and every adopter to assure they have all the knowledge and tools to care for their four legged family member. We do all of this to make sure each dog lives a life of PEACE. Everything we do is to make sure each dog lives a life of PEACE. All Peace for Pits pups are placed into loving, caring foster homes until they are ready to be adopted by their responsible, loving new families. While in their foster homes, our pups are working on learning things like crate training, potty training, and basic commands so they can truly shine! Being a foster based rescue, we get to know all of our dogs very well, this ensures finding the best dog match to fit your lifestyle.
