Halfway Home Rescue Inc. is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of hundreds of abused, abandoned, and homeless animals each year; locally and beyond. We provide spay/neuter and other veterinary care to each animal that passes through our doors. Our phones ring 24/7 and we try our best to keep up with the calls, as space and finances allow. No one takes a salary. Since our founding in 2004, more than 5,000 lives have been saved. Most of the animals that come to our rescue, have suffered lives of abuse, neglect, and abandonment. Often times we have no knowledge of the exact history, when they enter our rescue. Our volunteers work with every dog or cat as much as needed, providing medical care and emotional love. Our goal is to place each animal in a home that most suits each animal needs.
If interested in adopting please complete the adoption application, which can be done online or in person at our adoption center in North Haven Petsmart. We recently partners with a new venue for our cats at Mew Haven Cat Cafe located in New Haven on 904 Whalley Ave. Mew Haven is the cats’ foster home. It’s a safe place for them to stay until they are adopted. And while they’re here, they’re being socialized: living and playing with their fellow cats, and also learning about all the humans who come to visit them. We look forward to hearing from you! To speed up the process of getting you application approved, Please call your vet and give permission for them to talk with us. Please understand that incomplete adoption applications will NOT be considered. Adoption approval is at the sole discretion of Halfway Home Rescue Inc.
