Furry Angels Dachshund Rescue (FADR) is a small 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping Dachshunds find their forever homes. The rescue was founded in 2012 and is based in Foster, Rhode Island. FADR is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of the breed we hold so dear: the Dachshund or doxie. Our dogs come to us from shelters, veterinarians, owner surrender and occasionally other rescue groups. Our service area primarily consists of Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, New York and New Jersey. However, we adopt throughout the New England area and sometimes beyond! We are not affiliated with any other rescue groups or shelters. We are a stand alone group of Dachshund lovers that donate our time, money and love to rescuing the Dachshund breed.
