We are Forever Pets, a private, local, dog and cat rescue and adoption organization. We have our Michigan non-profit and 501c3 status. Working only through foster homes, we have the ability to get to know all of our adoptable animals and use that knowledge to help place the pet into a well fitting household. By not having a facility, we keep our costs low, however, it does limit the number of animals we can take in at any one time. All of our animals are up-to-date on their vaccinations, heartworm tests and pills, flea control, feline leukemia tests, spayed/neutered. Our adoption donations are based on dogs or cats, but do not vary based on breed. As a 501c3, your adoption donation may be tax deductible.
Forever Pets works off of applications, personal interviews, and references in order to make a well suited pet adoption. Since we know the personalities of all of our pets, we reserve the right to decline adoptions that would not be well suited for both the animal and the adopter. Forever Pets also does not ship any animals. All cats and dogs are adopted only to indoor households. Most dogs require home ownership and a fenced in backyard, however, renters with pet friendly lease clauses may be acceptable.
