The mission of Duck Team 6 is “To reduce the street dog population through Capture, Placement, and Outreach.” We are a 501(c) (3) non- profit organization that rescues dogs from the streets of Dallas. We are an all-volunteer group that captures hard-to-catch dogs that have lived their lives as strays. We are not a shelter so we rely on fosters and other rescue organizations to assist us until we can find permanent homes for the dogs we capture. We also provide full veterinary care including spay/neuter, microchips, and vaccinations for our “Duck Dogs.”
Applications are processed on a first come, first serve basis, however the dog will be placed with the applicant that can provide the best possible situation for his/her needs. Our adoption fee is $200 which ensures that the pet has had a spay/neuter surgery, a microchip and age-appropriate vaccinations. The adoption fee is due the day the dog is placed into your home. Please know that Duck Team 6 strives to achieve the most successful match for both dog and prospective family. All adoptions have a 2 week trial period in which your adoption fee would be refunded if it turns out the dog is not a good fit for your family within that time period.
