Adoption Process

If you are interested in Adopting one of our animals please fill out our online adoption application. Once the adoption application is received it will be reviewed. If there are multiple applications for the same pet we will contact the person whom we think is the best fit for that particular pet. If you are contacted, we then set up a “meet and greet” for you to meet the pet. If you like them and they like you we will then do a home check to make sure it is a suitable and safe environment for the pet. In addition, we may contact your veterinarian for a reference and to assure all pets in the household are current on vaccines and sterilized. All our pets are seen by a licensed veterinarian, have had a fecal test, heart worm test/Feline leukemia test, DHPP/RCP vaccine, rabies vaccine, spaying/neutering, flea and tick prevention, and are micro chipped prior to adoption. If they are too young for sterilization or have a medical reason for not being sterilized, then a spay/ neuter contract will be used prior to adoption. This is a form the adopter signs confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. We will hold $25- $100 deposit until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog was spayed/neutered at which time the deposit is returned to the adopter.
