Our doors opened in May 1967 and since then we have worked to help those who cannot speak for themselves. We do this in a number of ways. We provide humane care for unwanted, abused and injured animals. We work to prevent cruelty to animals, and place adoptable pets into good, permanent homes with responsible owners and promote spaying and neutering to prevent overpopulation. We are governed by a board of directors and are a private, non-profit 501c3, charitable and private organization supported by individuals like you. We are proud to be independent and to operate based on the generosity of our community. We are not associated with any other humane society or animal welfare organization.
We ask that you view our adoptable animals and then submit an online application. After you’ve found your match, we’ll schedule an adoption meet and greet with you in the order the applications are received and prepare to welcome your new furever friend home. We do request that if you plan to adopt that you bring a copy of your driver’s license or other government issued ID and vaccination records for your current pets. If you rent, please bring a copy of your lease and the pet policy. We may need additional information but one of our adoption assistants will let you know.
