Zoomies Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to giving the homeless and unwanted dogs and cats of Philadelphia a chance at success and a new life in a loving forever home. We believe every animal deserves the best chance and we will do whatever it takes to give them their best chance with the help of our volunteers, our fundraising and our amazing supporters.

Once we receive your application, it takes our volunteers a couple or few days to process (this usually depends on call backs from landlords, veterinarians, and references). Upon approval of your application, we can set up a socially distant meet to determine if it's a good fit between the pet and the adopter. For dogs, we have a two-week home trial period. This gives the dog and potential adopter time to get to know each other and lets the dog decompress a bit in the new environment! If everything works out, we'll get the contract signed and the fees settled and finalize the adoption! Our primary interest is the well-being of the pets and any decisions with respect to their Forever will be based in their favor.
