Tri-boro Animal Welfare - Butler Pet Shelter

Tri-Boro Animal Welfare is a non-profit, volunteer, animal welfare/adoption organization. We have been serving Butler, New Jersey, and its surrounding communities, since 1974. We pride ourselves on the personal care we give each animal. Tri-Boro Animal Welfare offers both dogs and cats for adoption. Our adoption program seeks to match the adopter and the animal so that the relationship will be mutually beneficial and endure for the lifetime of the dog or cat.

Adoption Process

If you are interested in any of our animals, please fill out the application and take note of the following: Please know adoption fees offset the cost of things such as vetting, transport, & supply purchases. We are a non-profit, volunteer animal shelter that solely relies on adoption fees and donations to continue operating. Adoption fees are as follows: Dogs 7 months through adult: $375.00, Puppies 6 months and under: $400.00, Senior Dogs: $200.00, Cats 7 months through adult: $75.00, Kittens 6 months and under: $100.00, Senior cats (8+ years): $50.00. Please answer all questions honestly. This is the best way for our volunteers to make sure you are are the best fit for the animal, and that the animal is the best fit for you! All vet references will be checked in order for us to ensure that you will take proper care of your potential new pet adoption. Please note that all animal breeds are our best guess. Our rescue does not have the resources to DNA test every animal that comes through our doors. Please judge each animal by their individual personality to decide if they are a good fit for you and your family! All members of the applicant's household must be available for the "meet and greet" session at our shelter's location, as well as existing pets in order for our shelter staff to evaluate potential matches. Please be advised that we do not "hold" or "reserve" animals during the adoption process. The animal which you applied for may have been adopted by a previously approved adopter during the time your application was being processed. A dog/cat manager will be in touch via phone and/or e-mail once your application is processed and approved!
