The Stone County Humane Society's vision is to create a community where people value animals and treat them with respect and kindness.
To adopt an animal one can visit the shelter or see all our animals ready for adoption which are listed on this website. An online Adoption Application is available on this site. Upon completing and submitting the application someone will contact you. All animals ready for adoption have been spayed/neutered and completely vetted. The adoption fee is $100 for dogs. If they are Paws in Prison trained the fee is $150. Cat adoption fee is $50. We do not accept credit cards at this time, cash or check only. We do have guidelines for approving adoptions and reserve the right to deny an adoption based on those guidelines.
