Adoption Process

A COMPLETED APPLICATION and HOME VISIT are REQUIRED prior to scheduling meet and greets with our dogs/puppies. Please note the application MUST be completed in its entirety. If you RENT and don’t list landlord info this is not considered a completed application. All the questions asked on our application are asked for a specific reason so that we may find you the perfect fit. Stella’s Hope is a “Foster based” rescue group meaning we do not have a facility where you can visit our dogs. All of our dogs/puppies reside in foster homes throughout Orange County. We do not set up visits at foster homes until you have been approved to adopt. Please note, we do hold adoption events, if you are interested in coming to meet our dogs in person, you can find out when and where we’ll be by visiting our Facebook page and looking under the “Events” tab at www.facebook.com/stellashope. We do not, however guarantee that the specific dog you are interested in meeting will be at all adoption events, so it’s best to complete the application and go through the process to have a meet and greet set up specifically for you to meet that dog. We do NOT do out of state adoption under any circumstances. If you reside in an area other than Southern California, we strongly suggest that you rescue a dog from a local shelter or a rescue group in your community.
