Poochmatch rescues dogs in need, homeless and abandoned, primarily strays found in low-income, socio-economic areas with high-kill animal shelters. All of our dogs are prepared for adoption by receiving complete veterinary medical care (altered, spay/neuter, vaccinated, micro chipped, de-wormed, and fecal tested. Some are groomed and receive professional training. Our committed volunteers network to provide foster homes until well matched, carefully screened pet owners are found. We also serve as a resource to our community and pet owners who must relinquish their pets and would rather not take them to an animal shelter. We provide education and information on responsible pet ownership, the responsible treatment of dogs or puppies, the importance of spay/neuter, socialization and routine standard care for dogs or puppies.
