The Starting Over Ranch is now located in Ocala, Fl. Nestled on a temporary 7 acres with access to an additional 17acres neighboring fence to fence with our ranch. S.O.A.R is a sanctuary that helps house, heal, rehabillitate and recover not only animals but people too. Specializing in re-homing animals to suitable and what we hope are permanant homes. Also specializing in taking in horses that are otherwise deemed outlaws or have lack of training and turn them into dependable honost mounts. Some live out their life here. Some move on to suitable and what we hope are forever homes. If our rescued pets fail in their new homes all of our rescues must be returned back to the ranch. S.O.A.R is a mentor for the public. We obide by our first and foremost law and that's our OHANA law "Ohana means family and familiy means no-one gets left behind or forgotten". We are here to help educate the public on how to be a responsible pet owner. Encouraging Spaying, Neutering and proper training to help eliminate the numbers of unwanted animals. Due to the economy we have experienced a large amount of unwanted and displaced animals. These numbers have not only doubled in the canine world but has tripled in the Equine world. Leaving countless numbers of horses often abandoned, neglected or carried to the nearest auction. S.O.A.R also has a Teen Outreach Program for troubled and abused teens. We have been successful in helping guide the children that come to our ranch into being responsible and successful young adults. Giving them confidence, hope and courage and showing them a new way of communication and trust by incorporating therapeutic bonds with the animals on our ranch. This is not a launched program as of yet but we hope to build this into successful program that envolves other programs such as ChildhelpUSA , Give Kids the World, Fl. Boys ranch and many more. Until then we do accept Teens in need of community service hours due to school credit or Teens charged or convicted of a misdameanor. (sorry no felons are currently being accepted due to security purposes). Over 10 years of hard work and dedication we hope to build a permanant sanctuary where we could build our dreams on a ranch of our very own. One that not only belongs to our family but to all the displaced and unwanted animals in our care. A ranch where troubled and abused children and animals can come to. To help eachother heal and give eachother hope. We want to show the public a different way of communication and trust. The definition of hope and compassion.

Founded to help German Shepherd Dogs to live in balance and harmony, we discovered the need for animal support is greater than the one breed we originally served. The purchase of a permanent home now allows us to help my animal species while we learn and grow as animal advocates. We do not try to save them all and for the ones we save it means THE WORLD.
