The Animal Center serves as a temporary shelter for homeless pets. It is our intention to be a safe, caring and temporary place of hope for the thousands of animals entering our shelter each year. Our compassionate staff work diligently to lessen the unnatural and often frightening experience of coming into care at a center. Whether we meet our guests as strays, lost pets or rescues from cruelty cases, each animal is cared for and provided a safe, clean and caring environment for the duration of its stay. Animal Services connects a variety of species, breeds, styles and colors of pets to their new furr-ever homes, and doesn’t impose time limits on how long our guests can stay. For animals that are too young, old or sick to be placed for adoption, staff partner with foster homes or rescue groups.
