1. Review the BEFORE YOU ADOPT page. 2. Submit APPLICATION FOR ADOPTION form. 3. You will be notified via email from a Russell Rescue team member if you are pre-qualified to adopt. This process can take up to 7 days. 4. After you are Pre-Qualified, it’s time to select your new forever friend through the online ADOPTABLE DOGS section. Then contact the Russell Rescue team member who contacted you about being qualified and they will arrange for you to meet the dog. 5. Once you’ve selected your new four-legged family member, you will review the ADOPTION AGREEMENT. This form lists everything Russell Rescue expects from you as an adopter. This is a binding agreement that you will submit online. You will also pay the adoption fee of $250.00 per dog by cash, check, or card (you may be charged a service fee for card use). 6. After everything is completed above, you will have your Trial Week. This week is for you to evaluate if this pairing is right for you and right for the dog. You will also be expected to take the dog to the vet of your choice for a Well Check at your expense. You need to contact Russell Rescue 48-hours prior to the Well Check visit if you have not receive current Medical Records for the dog you are adopting. A Russell Rescue team member will contact you during the week as a check-in. 7. At the end of your trial week you may choose to: Complete the final ADOPTION CONTRACT from the Russell Rescue team member that did your check-in during Trial Week or Return the dog to Russell Rescue. At this point you can decide to find another Russell Rescue dog to adopt or you can terminate your application and be refunded $225 per dog and the $25 per dog balance will be considered a donation to Russell Rescue.
