Prairie Oasis Animal Shelter (POAS), established in 2009, aims to care for, nurture and adopt out homeless, abused, and unwanted animals. POAS is a no-kill shelter that accepts pets surrendered by their families and takes over impounded animals from Shelby City Animal Control after the mandated holding period has expired.
