Pet Rescue of Mercer is an all volunteer, not-for-profit animal 501 (c)(3) rescue group based in Mercer County, NJ. PRM rescues neglected, abused, and abandoned animals from local shelters by finding quality homes for them. Sadly, the animals that are being routinely destroyed in Mercer County and around the country are not just the neglected or abused strays. Pets are abandoned when families move, landlords forbid animals or circumstances simply change. PRM pulls animals from shelters to prevent unnecessary euthanasia and helps keep dogs and cats out of shelters by working directly with owners to rehome their pets. PRM does not have a facility, so adoptable dogs and cats are placed into foster homes until they can be found permanent homes. Our adoption days are every Saturday at the Hamilton Marketplace Petsmart in Hamilton, NJ from 12PM to 3PM.
1. Adoption Application & Meeting Your New Friend. 2. Application Review. 3. Home Visit & Finalizing the Adoption.
