The responsibilities of the Animal Control Division include: Control of disease, particularly rabies, among wild and domestic animals; Food and water are provided; Maintenance of the animal shelter where adequate housing; Overseeing pet adoptions at the shelter; Removal and/or control of stray animals that may be found on the streets of Parsippany. Serving as a referral source for all citizens with sick, injured or aged animals, Animal Control provides information to the public on how best to care for their pets. They also educate the public with regard to humane treatment, licensing and restraining laws within the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills.
