Ozark Mutts and Stuff is a small rescue in northeast Arkansas that cares very deeply about the abandoned, abused, and neglected dogs and cats in the area. We do our very best to save as many of these fur kids as we possibly can. Some of these fur kids have been tied to trees and left to die by their owners. Some have been dumped on a country road to fend for themselves. Some people will even shoot a stray dog if they come on their property. A lot of these fur kids have never known love and affection of any kind until they come into our rescue. We do everything in our power to show them that they are safe and loved. Soon the dogs come out of their shells and return the love that we give them. What trusting souls these fur kids have. They hold no grudges against humans for treating them the way they do. Without your help we could never rescue as many fur kids as we do. Please take a few minutes out of your busy day and look at the dogs and cats that are just waiting for their chance for a fur ever home. You won’t be sorry if you open your heart and home to a fur kid in need. Don't forget to look at the "successful adoptions" page. You will see some of the fur kids in their new homes, living happy new lives.
Adopting your next "Fur-Ever Best Friend" is really easy. Just "click" on the picture of the dog or cat you are interested in, then follow the directions at the bottom of the dog's bio. Please note whether the dog is at Ozark Mutts and Stuff or at Gail's Pets Second Chance. Or, if you would rather talk to us, just give us a call and we will be more than happy to tell you all about your new "Fur Ever Best Friend". References listed on the application will be checked and we do require a HOME VISIT PRIOR to any adoption. (This applies to Ozark Mutts and Stuff only.) Our main goal is to make the best possible match between the dog and the adopter (adoptions are not make on a first-come-first-served basis). Please be aware that we do require an application, veterinary references and we do HOME CHECKS BEFORE placing our dogs. There is a minimum adoption donation which helps us to offset veterinary costs for the dog you adopt so that we can continue to help OTHERS in need. (YES, THE VETS DO CHARGE US and IT IS NOT CHEAP!). All of our dogs receive all necessary medical treatment, are up to date on their shots (based on age) and are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. We will provide you with our vet reference and past adopters so you can be comfortable adopting a fur kid from us.
