New Life Boxer Rescue is dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of the lives of Boxers who are at risk of being neglected, abused or forced to find new homes for reasons not in their control. As part of our goal of preventing cruelty to animals, the mission of New Life Boxer Rescue is to provide a safe and loving environment in foster care while we seek a new and permanent home for these Boxers. We provide medical care including but not limited to, spaying and neutering of all Boxers who come into our rescue.
STEP 1 - Complete an Adoption Application online. Be sure to answer all questions thoroughly and truthfully. Details are important and references must be included. STEP 2 - When your application is submitted, you will receive an email confirmation within 24 hours. Next, one of the interviewers will contact you to arrange a day and time to complete the phone interview. Once the interview is completed, your vet and or references will be contacted. STEP 3 - A home visit will be scheduled and completed by one of our volunteers in your area. All members of the family must be present for the home visit. STEP 4 - Once the home visit is complete and the volunteer has submitted the necessary paperwork, you will be notified by email if your application has been approved. At this point, the placement process begins. You will then speak with the Placement Coordinator about potential matches. Decisions for placement are based on your needs (such as children or other pets in the home), your preference of available Boxers and the Placement Coordinator’s knowledge of the dog and his or her characteristics. We have had great success with our process. STEP 5 - Once an appropriate match has been made, you will make contact with the foster family housing that particular Boxer. This is the time to ask questions and obtain as many details as possible about the dog including his or her unique needs, exercise level, diet and overall personality. Should you decide that this dog does not meet your expectations, we will attempt to match you with another Boxer. If both you and the foster home agree that this is the right dog for you, then the Placement Coordinator will contact you to officially offer the dog. STEP 6 - Arrangements are made with the foster home to schedule a date and time for the adoption. You (the adopter) are responsible for transporting the dog, as we do not ship or transport our dogs. Adoption contracts are drawn up and emailed to you for you to bring along on adoption day along with your donation to the rescue. Please remember that we do not have a facility or kennel where you can visit or meet our Boxers. All of our dogs are in the care of their loving foster homes across the Northeast NJ/NY/PA and CT.
