My Second Home is a no-kill organization whose mission is to rescue and re-home stray, neglected and abandoned dogs in high kill shelters especially those facing euthanasia due to over population in these shelters. Our goal is to also supply needed care, medical attention including being spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, to provide them with re-socialization and to place them in permanent adoptive homes where they will be properly cared for and become part of the family. We strive to increase public awareness and educate them of the overpopulation problem and finding ways to end the euthanasia of so many animals. We believe that all living creatures should be treated with dignity and respect. We provide all animals we take care of with a loving, safe and secure second home until they are placed in their forever home.
We require applications to be processed and approved prior to meeting an animal that is available for adoption. We try to process applications within 24-48 hours upon receipt.
