Lucky Lives Cat Rescue is located in Monmouth County, New Jersey. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established to save and change the lives of homeless cats and kittens, with the intention of affording them optimal healthcare, finding them forever homes and blessing them with the happy ever after we feel every cat deserves. We are driven by our love and appreciation for animals, and everything we do is done with their utmost well-being in mind. Therefore, the cats and kittens we rescue are not caged. They are kept in loving foster homes where they are socialized and treated like family, ensuring them the best possible outcome for success when they ultimately move on to their new homes. Our vision, our hope and our wish is to end the suffering of homeless cats. Although we know we cannot make that vision a reality by ourselves and that we cannot possibly save them all, we take comfort in the fact that we are at least making a huge difference in the lives of the cats we rescue, the lives we have and will continue to change for the better. We have a wonderful network of people who have the same mission and goals we do, and we work together to trap and neuter stray cats, find homes for those of them that are friendly and release those that aren't back out to their colonies, providing them adequate shelter and educating the public about their plight. Spaying and neutering is the key to solving this tremendous problem of overpopulation of cats and the extreme suffering they go through struggling to survive outdoors in the wild where these domesticated animals are not meant to be in the elements they are not equipped to withstand. This task is costly to accomplish, but it's necessary to achieve our ultimate goal. As a non-profit organization, we rely completely on the donations of friends, family and those that support us and our vision. Your generosity goes a long way to help ensure the felines in our care get what they need to provide them a happy, healthy and "lucky" life.
Prospective adopters must fill out the adoption application. One of our team members reviews the application, checks veterinarian references, personal references, etc. That same team member will contact the prospective adopter via email or phone to go over any questions or concerns pertaining to the application submitted and to set up an interview. The prospective adopter completes the interview with a team member and goes over the next steps of the process. An inspection of the prospective adopter's residence is conducted to ensure that it is a safe environment suitable for the cat(s) or kitten(s). If Lucky Lives Cat Rescue approves the adopter, we will arrange a time for the adopter to meet the cat(s) or kitten(s). After meeting the cat(s) or kitten(s), if the adopter decides they would like to move forward, and we are in agreement that it's a good match, the adopter will review and fill out the adoption paperwork and take their new companion(s) home.
