Labrador Rescue of North Carolina, Inc. is a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization operated by volunteers looking to find good homes for abused, abandoned and unwanted purebred Labrador Retrievers. We have several dogs of various ages and colors just waiting to share the affection of an adopted family. We also have dogs in need of foster homes. While in foster care, they are evaluated and receive proper health care and basic training. For many labs, this time in foster care may be their first experience of love and security. In some cases, a dog we rescue may not be healthy enough to go to a foster home. We have relationships with wonderful veterinarians who provide care until the dog is stable and cleared for foster care. At LabRescue NC, our mission is to save as many Labradors as possible. To that end, we focus our energy on Labs with that classic Lab temperament, which makes it easier for us to save more dogs.

We realize that our form is lengthy, but this information is necessary for the approval process and to find the right dog for your family. Our adoption process may include a home visit. Therefore, we limit our adoptive families to North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee and parts of South Carolina.
