My name is Kaitlin, I’m a girl in Long Island, New York. I started Rescuing kittens off the streets when I was just ten years old, and ever since I haven’t been able to stop. My love for all animals has definitely grown into respect for who they are and knowledge that they are worth saving. I started Katie’s Kats Island Rescue two years ago because I wanted to be able to save more lives. Through the years I’ve rescued injured, abandoned, and unwanted cats and kittens off the streets and have found them all loving forever homes. My goal is to open my own shelter, one that will never have to turn away from a cat in need, one that doesn’t have to euthanize because of lack of adoptions. Although all of that sounds more like a dream rather then a reality I strive to work towards that goal everyday. With the help of this amazing cat community I’ve been able to feed so many ferals, take in abandoned friendly cats that are looking for love in this world. Although I’m just a girl in this big world filled with so many animals in need I know that I’m not alone and that there are people like you who will stand by my side and help me save more.
