It's a Grey Area Greyhound Adoption was founded in January of 2010 by Lesley Tierney Ezkovich and Brittaney Spruill. Through our combined years of experience and a dedicated group of people to support us, we formed It's a Grey Area Greyhound Adoption Group. We are dedicated to the proper placement of the retired racing greyhound along with the formation of a fun, committed greyhound group. We are a 501c3 organization.
So, now you've decided you would like to adopt a greyhound. Here's what you need to know and do: Adoption fee – tax deductible $250.00 - includes all vet work, heartworm testing, dental, muzzle and collar. Adoption fee's are non-refundable. Pet ownership is a serious responsibility. It is the policy of It’s a Grey Area Greyhound Adoption Inc to assure that each greyhound is placed in a home that has the desire to provide to that dog the loving and safe home he/she deserves. The following questionnaire/application has been designed to assist IAGA in determining 1. If a greyhound is the appropriate dog for your family and 2. Matching the right greyhound with your family. You can fill out our online application. Someone will contact you within 24 hours of receiving your application to begin the adoption process. You will be matched with an Adoption Coordinator in your area and that person will arrange a time to do a home visit. After the home visit, we will match your family with the greyhound we feel would be the best fit for you. If, at that time, should we have more than one dog available that would make a good addition to your family, then you will certainly be able to make that choice. When you receive your dog, you will sign the adoption contract and make your new greyhound an offical member of your family. If, along the way, you have any questions, someone will always be available to help you throughout the process.
