Husky Pack Rescue is a Georgia Dept. of Agriculture licensed and non-profit (501c3) volunteer ran licensed rescue organization. Our focus is to help Siberian Huskies, Malamutes and other working dog breeds that have been abused, neglected, abandoned, or surrendered. Working with our committed volunteers, foster parents, local veterinarians and trainers we able to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home all our dogs into loving forever homes. All dogs brought into the rescue are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm tested and/or treated as necessary. HPR properly socializes each dog, provide them with a loving foster home, and find them well-matched, carefully screened forever homes. We serve as a resource to our community and all pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, positive behavior training, and good nutrition. By holding weekly adoption events and scheduled husky socials we hope to keep the husky breed a popular family companion choice.
1. Our adoption fee is $300 - it includes spay/neuter, all shots up to date and microchipping plus any other vetting the dog may have needed. 2. What we are looking for on the application, even for foster families: All pets must be spayed or neutered; All dogs must be on Heartworm preventative and up to date on their vaccines; Ability to exercise your Husky daily; Adoptions can NOT be given as gifts; Demonstrated willingness to take care of your new dog for its lifetime; Ability to pay our adoption fee the day of adoption - cash, check, money order or PayPal; Veterinarian reference is highly preferred; Application is fully completed. 3. Email completed application to info.huskypackrescue@gmail.com . 4. We will review your application and respond within 7 days if your application is approved. 5. If your application is approved we will set up a time for you to meet your chosen dog. Even though your adoption application may specify a particular dog, the result of a successful application only means you are approved to adopt through HPR, not that you are approved to adopt that particular dog. If the potential adopter causes a delay in the adoption after they are approved, we CAN NOT guarantee the dog you are interested will still be available when you are ready, especially if there are other applicants interested in the same dog. 6. We do not adopt on a first come, first serve basis; we choose the best application to match the needs of each of our dogs. 7. We do NOT do same day adoptions. 8. We do not have a shelter facility nor do we have any set open/closed hours. We are a foster based program with all our dogs living with a foster family. 9. A home visit is required prior to every adoption. 10. Our dogs live indoors as members of the family and companions to their people, we do NOT adopt dogs out to homes where they will be kept outside.
