Humane Society Of Lincoln County - Fayetteville Pet Shelter

Humane Society Of Lincoln County

In 1985, the Humane Society of Lincoln County was formed and registered as a non-profit 501c3 organization to address many issues involving the conditions of the current animal shelter and the needs of animals all over the city and county. Along with addressing those issues, we also took over investigating cases of animal cruelty which we currently still do today. We continue to ensure that our main focus is the needs of the animals in the community and finding forever homes for those at our shelter. We could never achieve all that we do without the help of your donations and our volunteers. While we are partially funded by the city and county, over 60% of our funding comes from other resources such as private donations, adoption fees, fundraisers, and grants. Utilities, employee expenses, maintenance, equipment, and various licenses are just a few examples of what your donations provide.

Adoption Process

Before we can get started, we ask that you complete our adoption contract so that we can learn more about you. Once approved, we will talk with you more about you, your family and your living arrangements so that we can make recommendations on the best animal for you! We will also introduce you to any potential candidates and provide you with more information about the animal and breed. After you have made your final decision and your adoption fees have been paid, your new family member will be ready to go home with you!
