Helping Hands For Little Paws - Little Rock Pet Shelter

Helping Hands for Little Paws (HHLP) began in 1995. Since that time, we have rescued, re-homed and sterilized hundreds of animals in Central Arkansas. Twenty years later, we are still helping homeless dogs in Arkansas. HHLP is a foster-based program, where the dogs in our group live in foster homes until they find their "fur-ever" home. All of our adoptable dogs have been altered, are up to date on shots, are heartworm negative and have been on heartworm, flea and tick preventative.

Adoption Process

The first step in our process is to complete the online application. Once the application is received, we will review it and do the reference checks. If the members all agree there is a potential match, you will be contacted to set up a meet 'n greet/home visit. This is done at your home. If the meet 'n greet goes well, then we will proceed with a trial adoption.
