We are a network of volunteer foster homes in West Tennessee working to save the abused, abandoned, and unwanted dogs that people have tossed out. We work day and night to provide the care that these dogs need to get them back healthy both emotionally and physically so they can be adopted into loving homes. We are fighting a war due to mass overpopulation issues and sadly healthy adoptable dogs are having to be euthanized daily. Over 99% of our adoptions are to the northeast because that area simply doesn’t have the massive overpopulation problem we have. And we are so thankful for our norther adopters. For over 15 years our ”northern angels” have adopted our southern sweethearts so we can continue to save more lives. We hope you will join this fight with us. Sometimes the difference between a pet living or dying is as simple as a $5 donation or a ’like, share or comment’ on social media. We can all make a difference. We understand some are not comfortable adopting prior to meeting but that’s why we do many FB videos and can even put the videos on our YouTube channel so you can see the pups you are interested in and get a feel for them.
Please be patient with our volunteers as they are working as quickly as they can to approve your application. If all of your information is included and correct, we can typically have your application approved in 1 business day if your references will speak to us. If a pup is on Petfinder/Adoptapet they are available for adoption so you should submit an application ASAP via the link above. You will receive an email from Shelterluv (generated by us) once your application is approved and at that time we will let you know which dogs are available. Please check your spam folder! At that point we will put you in touch with the foster parent, if you wish, to ensure a perfect match. Once both parties agree, we will generate an adoption contract and payment link that will be texted to you. Once that is complete then we will set up transport. When a contract is completed on a pup, that removes the pup from those sites. (there is a lag due to software). There is no need to contact us to change the dog you are interested in as one application covers any pup in our rescue. Sadly, here in the south we are rescuing new pups everyday that are in need of great homes. We appreciate your patience during this time and just know we are just as eager to get these amazing dogs into their forever homes as you are to receive them. Be sure to fill your application out thoroughly and if you do not have pertinent information simply wait to submit it when you do have the information. And be sure to contact all references listed on your application including vet, property owner and personal references because those are the # 1 reasons that slow us down.
