Forrest City Area Humane Society - Forrest City Pet Shelter

Forrest City Area Humane Society

The Forrest City Area Humane Society is made up of a diverse group of volunteers with the common goal of educating the community and promote responsible pet ownership. We encourage the formation of sister organizations in the surrounding counties; we acknowledge our sister organization in Cross County. We are happy to work with other groups and with local law enforcement in the surrounding counties in so far as we are able to do so. We strive to care for unwanted animals and to place them in good, permanent homes. It is our goal to investigate and prosecute animal abuse in this community.

Adoption Process

STEP ONE: Complete & submit an ADOPTION APPLICATION to FCADIVA@SBCGLOBAL.NET with a copy of your current, valid ID for review. STEP TWO: After your application has been reviewed, you must schedule a facility visit to meet our animals & staff. If necessary, applicants may then be asked to undergo a home visit by a FCAHS staff member. STEP THREE: Once you find your perfect pet & your application has been approved, you're ready to adopt! At the time of adoption, you will be required to pay the $75 adoption fee, and provide a leash & collar for your animal prior to departure. Home inspections are required for all Pit Bull breed adoptions. All applicants are subject to a background check. FCAHS reserves the right to deny any adoption application for any reason.
