Eleventh Hour Rescue - Randolph Pet Shelter

Eleventh Hour Rescue

Eleventh Hour Rescue is a fully registered 501C(3), nonprofit, 100% no-kill, volunteer based organization dedicated to saving the lives of innocent dogs and cats on death row. Many of them are rescued at their Eleventh Hour - when they are scheduled to be put to death by other shelters that can no longer care for them. We give our dogs and cats all the medical attention they require, a place to live, and through our extensive adoption services, a second chance at a happy and fulfilled life. Eleventh Hour Rescue is not subsidized by government grants and receives no major corporate funding. We rely solely on the generosity of our volunteers, the community and animal lovers everywhere. The heart-wrenching stories we read and the numbers of those we can’t help are overwhelming. Every day we are haunted by the faces of those we can’t save. We cannot stop. We will not stop, until all of the cages are empty.

Adoption Process

We know how excited you are to find your new family member - we are too! All of the questions we ask on the application help us learn about you so we can better match you to the perfect dog or cat. 1. All applicants must be at least 23 years of age. 2. Complete the form in it's entirety. Incomplete applications will delay processing. 3. Once your application has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation email. Be sure to check your email and SPAM folder for an email from Eleventh Hour Rescue (@ehrdogs.org). This email contains information on how to reach us while your application is being reviewed. 4. References and Veterinarians: Let your references know a volunteer from EHR will be calling them. Contact your veterinarian(s)!!! Let them know we will be calling, and that you authorize them to release information to us. 5. If we have questions about your application we will contact you. 6. Once your application has been processed, you will receive an email from our applications team. This email will indicate whether or not you have been approved to adopt, and provide information on your next steps. Receiving the approval email does not guarantee that the dog or cat you applied for is still available or a good fit for your home. 7. We do not 'hold' or 'reserve' animals during the application process.
