East Coast Paws N Claws Rescue is a 501 (c) 3 foster-based group. We get puppies, adults, and even some seniors. Please understand that we do not adopt on a "first-come, first-served" basis. Our volunteers work diligently to process applications in order to find pups the home that is best suited for their needs, as well as their future forever family's needs and wants. All of our puppies and dogs we have for adoption are up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, worming, and preventatives. These puppies and dogs cannot leave our southern rescue partners' custody until they've been issued a clean bill of health. In order to keep exposure rates down, we ask that you please do not touch the puppies at our adoption events.
1) Submit a complete application (be sure to call your vet - if you have one - and give them permission to speak to us prior to submitting the application, check with all housemates/partners/spouses about adopting a dog, advise landlord - if applicable - of your intentions and make them aware that we will be calling, and finally, answer all questions thoroughly and honestly). WE CANNOT PROCESS INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS. 2) Our processors will conduct your vet check, reference check, and home check. If you rent or live with your parents, we will need verbal permission from them. 3) An ECPC representative will contact you to conduct a phone interview. Please check your voicemails and texts. The representative will put all of your information into our system. 4) If you're approved, an ECPC representative will call you to inform you. He/she will explain the adoption donation and pick up location/date/time.
