The Cumberland County Animal Shelter is a municipal shelter operated by Cumberland County in partnership with the City of Crossville. The primary function of the shelter is to provide temporary housing and care for the lost/stray animals brought to us by Animal Control Officers with the goal of reuniting them with their owners. Animals that are not reclaimed by owners may be placed up for adoption. We work very closely with several rescue organizations to place as many animals as possible into loving permanent homes.
