Blue Ridge Rescue - Blue Grass Pet Shelter

Blue Ridge Rescue

OUR MISSION: To rescue, rehabilitate, & train homeless, neglected & disabled farm animals; focusing our primary attention on miniature horses and smaller ponies. That after rehabilitation can in time be adopted out to a loving and lifelong home; where they will be able to live out their life in a loving, caring and healthy environment. As a part of our organization, we are a sanctuary to several disabled equine & other farm animals suffering from disabilities; being crippled, blind, with a lifelong disability or illness. We have rescued, rehabilitated, trained and adopted out over 325 horses and other equines from the community that have been either neglected, mistreated, starved, abused, seized, or unwanted. Plus an additional nearly 150 other farm and small animals. We have helped many disabled animals in the community. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization. Our organization not only impacts the animals we help, but everyone that is involved. We take pride in the volunteer work we do with these rescues in rehabilitating and training them to be safe and sound for a new life with a new family. Our rescue runs off donations. Your payment to help fund our rescue for these animals will continue to "help us help them".

K9 Kindness Rescue, Inc. was started in March of 2004 by founder and president Debbie Fraker. The rescue was originally the size of a few friends and three foster homes in Davenport, De Witt, and Blue Grass. We are a small, independent chow-chow and peke rescue located in Davenport, Iowa. We are primarily asked to take homeless animals from shelters in the midwest and prepare them for adoption into loving permanent homes. All of our adoptees are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, heartworm checked if old enough and groomed. Regretfully we are no longer able to take in owner surrenders that are not spayed
