Birmingham Boston Terrier Rescue is a 501(c)3 Non Profit Organization whose goal is to rescue Boston Terriers and Boston Terrier mixes in need, assess/stabilize their physical/emotional needs, and find the best possible homes for them. We provide information and support for pet owners in an effort to prevent these dogs from needing rescue in the future. Finally, we work with other rescue organizations, shelter, and other like minded groups for the common goal of saving animals and demonstrating humane treatment of animals.

Adoption Process

If you are interested in adopting a Boston Terrier, please fill out one of our adoption applications. There is an application fee of $10. Our adoption process is a thorough one in order to ensure that each of our animals finds the home that is just right for them. All of our dogs are fully vetted at the time of adoption, have been spayed or neutered, and have been treated for any current health issues. Adoption Requirements: Adopters must be 21 or older; All pets currently in the home must be altered unless there is a medical reason that they cannot be; A vet reference confirming that your current (or previous) pets are up to date on all vaccinations and that dogs are on a heartworm preventative; For homes that do not have a fence or an invisible fence, the adopters must agree to keep the dog leashed when outside the home; Fences must be in good repair; Dog must be kept up to date on medical care, including continuous heartworm prevention; Dog must be kept primarily indoors, given adequate food and water, never tethered, allowed adequate access to outdoors for exercise and bathroom duties; In instances of rental homes or apartments, adopters must have permission from their landlords. Adoption Fees: Under 1 year old - $350, 1-7 years old - $300, 8 years and older - $200, Mixed breed, all ages - $175 (Senior citizens over age 65 - adoption fee for all dogs is $200).
