The Animal Rescue League of Northwest Georgia is a no-kill shelter that rescues dogs and other animals that local animal control organizations plan to euthanize, identified strays, and owner-surrendered dogs. The animals saved by the rescue are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, treated for any medical issues and then placed with families who prefer to adopt unwanted pets rather than purchase breeder animals.
Adoption fees begin at $150.00. All animals are fully vetted. We only adopt out spayed or neutered animals. We feel that our animals deserve year round heartworm prevention, preventive treatment of internal and external parasites (including fleas and ticks), and a minimum of an annual routine veterinary check-up to include vaccinations. We feel that fenced in yards provide the safest environment for our animals. Animals are not available on a first-come, first-served basis. We make the best possible match for each of our dogs. If the dog does not work in your home, we ask that you return the animal back to us so that we may find another home. We reserve the right to make a home visit if we deem this a necessary precaution for the animal.
