Animal Harbor is a limited-admission animal shelter facility serving Franklin County, Tennessee. It is operated by members of The Franklin County Humane Society, a private non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. The mission of The Franklin County Humane Society is to: Provide health care and temporary shelter for lost and homeless companion animals; Find new loving homes for these pets; Reduce pet overpopulation by promoting spaying and neutering; Prevent cruelty to animals; Educate the community about animal welfare. Animal Harbor opened its doors in February of 2003. It was the first animal shelter in Franklin County.
We require a signed adoption contract and a fee to adopt a pet. Adopters must be at least 18 years old, and bring a photo ID.
