Angels Among Us Animal Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 rescue organization that is dedicated to saving the lives of homeless senior dogs. Our focus is on senior dog adoption and hospice care. We rescue senior dogs from high kill shelters and discarded breeding dogs from local area puppy mills. Our foster families provide love and socialization skills until an adoptive family is found. We provide all necessary vetting for our adoptable dogs....and specialized vetting for our senior dogs with serious medical issues. Our mission is to help as many homeless senior dogs as possible and reduce the number who are being euthanized due to lack of space or funding for medical needs.
Please email AngelsAmongUsRS@live.com to request an application. We require a vet reference check and a home visit as part of our adoption process. Our AAU adoption area is Central PA and surrounding areas. We require a meeting with all family members and current pets in the home. After the application is approved, we offer a trial visit prior to finalizing our adoptions.
