Animal Rescue Movement, Inc. ("ARM") was established in 1993 by Jeanne Dixon. ARM is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill, all-volunteer organization located in Middleburg, Florida. ARM rescues dogs and cats from local animal control shelters and abused, injured and abandoned from the streets. For these animals, being rescued is the difference between life and death, as most of these loving pets would otherwise face certain death due to pet overpopulation and overcrowding in our local shelters. We rescue mixed breed as well as purebred animals. Once rescued, ARM provides food, proper medical care, spay/neuter and all necessary vaccinations. These animals will remain in ARM's care until they find loving, caring homes. ARM's physical shelter is located in Middleburg Florida on 6 beautiful fenced acres in the Clay Hill Area. This location is the primary home for our resident animals along with a few foster homes that assist with newborns and animals needing frequent medical care. Our physical shelter is not open to the public for visiting animals as we are not staffed to accommodate visitors at this time. Our property includes three "portable" classroom buildings, two kennel facilities, a small house converted to accommodate cats and small dogs, a stall to accommodate small farm animals and a storage shed used for storing farm animal food and our lawn tractor. Our most recent portable building is used as our office and administration facility. Another building is used for food and general supplies storage and includes an area with an accessible screen porch for our feral cat residents. The third building includes a section for general storage and a "clinic" for medical and minor surgery care.
