The Mission of Wyoming County SPCA is to Drive Change in Our Community Through Innovative Programs that Promote Adoption, Spay/Neuter and Education.
1. Select the pet that you are interested in - each application is considered on a case-by-case basis to cater to the unique circumstances of each animal and each applicant. 2. Complete the application of interest online. We are currently not open to the public for open hours and request that you fill out the application online. The adoption team will review all applications and be in contact with you. If you are selected and pre-approved then an appointment can be made to come in and meet the animal/s. We appreciate your understanding in this as keeping our staff and volunteers safe is our top priority. 3. A vet reference & 3 references are required for all applications. (Only 1 reference can be a relative please, and no references that are living in the same home). 4. Applications with missing information will not be processed. Applications for those under the age of 21 will not be processed. 5. If you rent, you MUST provide a written statement with a phone number for the landlord or property owner allowing you to adopt a pet. 6. Applications can take 2-3 business days to review. 7. Phone messages must be returned within two days or the animal will be available to other adopters. 8. Denied applications will be shredded and the animal will be available to other adopters. 9. Approved applicants have one week to arrange a pick up time. Animals will not be reserved after one week.
