Wild Cat Foundation - Lafayette Pet Shelter

We are a volunteer group dedicated to promoting humane solutions to feral feline overpopulation. TNR (Trap, Neuter, and Return) has been proven to be the only humane method to reducing the population of unwanted felines and in 10 years, Wild Cat Foundation has trapped, neutered and returned more than 10,000 cats! We help train and advise colony caregivers how to humanely trap feral cats which are then transported to feral friendly veterinarians for vetting, then returned to their colonies.

Adoption Process

If you fall in love with one of our pets, please fill out our online pre-adoption questionnaire. We will then contact you and make sure we have the perfect match. The adoption fee varies, it is usually $75, but we will be happy to offer a reduced fee if you choose to adopt two of our pets. The adoption fee for senior pets or special cases is on a case by case basis. Once you have been approved and have taken your new little family member home, a WCF volunteer will call within 1-2 weeks to check on the progress of your new addition, if it is adjusting in your home, or if there are any problems or concerns that have arisen. Our goal is to make sure everyone is happy!
