WAAL’s mission is to be there for the countless animals in the Wichita and surrounding area who are abused, neglected and abandoned each year.
We require an approved application to schedule adoption meetings with our animals. Applications typically take 1-3 days to process and you will be notified thereafter. An application does not obligate you to adopt. We do not have a blanket policy regarding fences - some dogs require them, some do not. We will make that determination based on the dog’s needs. WAAL makes a lifetime commitment to our animals. If for any reason you cannot keep an animal you adopt from WAAL, it must be returned to us or approval given for other arrangements - even 10 years down the road.
