The Whiskers and Tails Rescue Foundation is a non-profit organization that practices and promotes the humane treatment of feral and stray free roaming cats. Our mission is to help educate and work with the community to practice TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return). Resulting in a lower cat population and fewer euthanasia rates. We also practice TNA (Trap-Neuter-Adopt) to any adoptable cat.
Adoption Process: 1. Browse through and fully READ the bio descriptions of each of our cats to make sure they completely match your household lifestyle. 2. Complete an online Adoption Application submission. You MUST fill out every space on the Adoption Application or it will NOT be accepted or processed. 3. Once you submit an application, a volunteer will review your application, check your references, and contact you to conduct a phone interview with you about the animal and answer any questions that you may have. We ask that you allow us 48 hrs after the time of your application submission to contact you (this can be longer due to any unexpected emergencies). Our first point of contact, will always be through email. Please note: we only process adoption applications during weekday business hours. Please note we are volunteer based and we get a lot of inquiries, etc so please be patient. 4. If approved, we will then set up a meet and greet with the entire family during open adoption hours to spend time with the cat you’re interested in. (all persons living full-time in the household must be present during the adoption process). 5. If it's a match, we will then set up a date and time for you to take your furrever family member home. 6. Please understand that we reserve the right to deny an application for any reason if we feel that it is in an inappropriate home for one of our cats.
