Whiskers Cat Rescue And Canine - Clarkston Pet Shelter

Whiskers' mission is to save lives, educate, and provide adoptable pets that are raised in a family environment. We feel that when an animal is rescued from a shelter they need and deserve to be treated as a family member within a stable home environment where they may be socialized, trained and have a normal life. Our mission is not to "move" animals but rather to find the right pet for your family, making a life long connection. We specialize in puppies, cats and kittens. We like to help the local shelters as well as individuals that find themselves with unplanned/unwanted litters of puppies. Whiskers animal rescue is a small rescue. We rescue our kitties and puppies from high kill shelters and from owners that are not able to care for or find homes for their animals. We began our quest to save lives and fully believe that as fosters, we need to know our animals personalities and behavior traits in order to find the purrfect home. While seeing many animals caged at local shelters and rescues,we know to match an animal with a family, we need to know that animal and be able to match their personality with your family's needs and desires. This is why none of our animals are caged, we keep our rescue small, and we socialize all our foster animals with our personal pets, around our children and in our homes.
